From your first glass of water in the morning to that extra cup of herbal tea, these four things will help your kidneys stay healthy and clean.

1. Hydration is key

Almost sixty percent of a grown person’s body is water. Every system in the body, from the brain to the liver, needs water to work.

As the body’s filtering system, the kidneys need water to make pee. Urine is the body’s main waste product that gets rid of things that aren’t needed or wanted.
